SCSHA By-Laws Change

Over the past year, the SCSHA Executive Board has spent time reviewing the SCSHA By-Laws to ensure they provide the appropriate framework for the association.

After careful review, the SCSHA Executive Board is requesting your approval on the following changes to the SCSHA By-Laws:

Removal of all Committee names from the By-Laws, and language added to state that all Committees will be defined and described in the SCSHA Policies and Procedures Manual.

New language to establish Task Forces in addition to Committees.  Task Forces will be established and governed in the same manner as Committees.

New language to permit membership voting by mail or electronic method for association elections, By-Laws changes or as needed.

The SCSHA Executive Board believes that the above changes to the By-Laws will provide the current and future Executive Boards the ability to better manage the association in an environment with constant change.

The SCSHA Executive Board encourages you to contact any Board Member if you have any questions or concerns regarding the changes.

Ballots will be mailed to Voting members of the association the first week of the January 2010.
