SCSHA Foundation

The SCSHA Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) foundation that is operated exclusively for promoting education and research in the field of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

The Foundation supports education and research by providing:

An annual stipend to the association’s Student of the Year at the annual SCSHA Convention

Annual Scholarships (beginning in 2006)

Donate to to the SCSHA Foundation

Annual Student Scholarship

Each year two $1,000 Scholarships are awarded.

Eligibility:

  1. Rising senior in an undergraduate degree program in South Carolina who plans to continue in the field OR
  2. Graduate student who has completed at least one semester in an accredited degree program in South Carolina AND
  3. Currently a student member of the South Carolina Speech-Language-Hearing Association

Requirements:

  • There (3) Letters of Recommendation describing the applicant’s academic and/or clinical work
          These may be from academic faculty members, clinical supervisors, or one of each.
  • An original personal essay of between 300 to 500 words related to the profession and the applicant’s
    professional aspirations
  • Official Transcript sent from institution

Deadline for submission is postmarked NO LATER THAN January 27, 2012.
